Wax Museum Project Information
The 5th grade team is beginning to distribute information about our upcoming Wax Museum project. This wonderful learning experience was originally scheduled for December, but we postponed it until the spring semester in order to teach more social studies content before asking the kids to begin this research project!
This project has three parts: 1) Research 2) Speech/Wax Museum performance 3) Paper (biography) Specific details are included in the Directions for the Wax Museum Project page and the Wax Museum Project Guidelines. We will go over the expectations in our classes before distributing the guidelines; however, students are expected to read through everything very carefully before beginning their research. Key Deadlines: Wednesday, May 16th--Speech for Wax Museum due Friday, May 25th--Research paper, Research Organizer, and Research Source List due Friday, May 25th--Sketch of Wax Museum costume due Tuesday, June 5th, from 11am to 12:15pm--Wax Museum--families are invited! |

EOGs are on the way...and we need PROCTORS!! |
EOGs are coming soon! Not only will each 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade class need to take the reading and math EOGs (and our 5th grade babies will also take the Science EOG), we have many students who have testing accommodations that require additional proctors. We currently need 10-12 volunteers each day of testing.
There is a volunteer Sign Up Genius located on our school website as well as in the PTA newsletter, but we currently only have 2 parents signed up to proctor so far. Please, please consider signing up to proctor. I've (Rabb) done it as a parent multiple times, and other than being a little boring, it is the easiest job
you'll ever volunteer for! Thank you for all you do!
